vikingmarius > Woking: The first half of the 2019/2020 season

Woking: The first half of the 2019/2020 season

Hi guys and welcome to a new chapter in my Woking adventure. Well first we will take care of transfers

Transfers

Outs

I wanted to make a massive ability change throughout my squad and this meant getting out some second-class starters and bringing in better players. Tafer was one of the hardest to let go, but he got a decent price as did most of my players and all of a sudden I had even more money to play with.

Ins

Best players to most prospective players

40 million is a gigantic price tag, but what a f*cking player he is probably the best in the world, so we will see how he does; probably well

The new Tafer and well he did also cost a lot I think he will be worth it, he looks fantastic technical, a strong finisher and also a fantastic determined team worker, I can’t wait to see how he does.

Hopefully this guy will strengthen my shaky defense and he is a bit of fm 2011 legend and will be great for me two I think. He is quick and can defend and will probably be a new leader at Kingfield.

A little competition for Bruno and I got him because he was free and now I have two of the worlds best keepers on my team and we should do even better defensively now.

Free and brought in so he could be sold in january or next summer.

Great prospect at the beginning of the game and has developed alright, will be a bit like Erdem, but he will probably play a little more and Look forward to see him toying with some defences.

Overall

A lot of money spent, but I think it [...]

vikingmarius > Woking Season 2018/2019

Woking Season 2018/2019

Hello I am sorry for not updating in a while, it has been a combination of a lot of things. First of all my summer job meaning I havn’t had much time to play and when I have played I have played a game with Stabæk my local team in Norway because I just got really into this game and coul not be bothered blogging it as it would take some time. I did however manage to finish a Woking season. I will zoom through it

Transfers

Out:

Got rid of players who i could replace with better or cheaper players as Wokigns finances were not in a fantastic state after the new stadium aquisition. Biggest okayers leaving were Sandro, Butland and Shaqiri all on big contracts and who I could get great prices for.

In:

I will do it in order of status is squad

First team:

Expensive but good new keeper and he is young but can develop more and the key thing is distibution which is key for my quick squad.

I coukdn’t resist at the price of 6.75m he was unhappy at Liverpool and I had to get him and I did will be a great English addition.

Sandro replacement and he cost only 1.3m which is incredible, Galatasaray really didn’t want him, strong determined and a great tackler I would say he is just as good as Sandro and at 1/17th the price

Prospects:

Incredible and was a key player at Furth, but I needed him and will be a starter in 2-3 years I hope

English and definitely one for the future but I thik he is already quite good and if he can do very well ina few years and will have to [...]

So i have restarted with Blue Square South outfit Woking and will attempt to take them to the top.

I have played 8 games so far with mixed results: 4wins 1draw 3loses, this was after 3 wins from 4 to start the season.Heres a look at the fixtures so far.

Heres the league table

Player ratings so far

Finally we were very busy in the transfer window as you can see below

Thats all for now, bye.

vikingmarius > Woking: Blossoming in the spring of 2018

Woking: Blossoming in the spring of 2018

Welcome back and I am sure you are looking forward to seeing how Wokign do i our first venture into the champions league and the knockout stages on top of that and we were looking to getting our first premier league throphy in our third season at the top level.

The Premier League

Great month with a lucky win over Sunderland followed by two games that were to close for comfort and then a draw against the team that I just can’t beat

Difficult games this month and we did very well except for the Tottenham game where we just couldn’t finish them off. Henderson was a suprise hero this month and no-one scored more than one a game this month

Finished off so strongly with Rafinha and Tafer grabbing 7 goals in two games between them and all of our attackers were in fantastic form this month and this is shown in the player of them month competition

Woking players won spots one two and three just to show how good we were, so was this enough to win us the league????

No we stagnate at 3rd place and the same position as last year even though we got 6 more points we were on the tail of the Manchester all year, but couldn’t take them over.

The Champions Cup

I will show the individual games later, but I will show you how we did in each stage of the knockout stages

first knockout stage

We took out Roma even though our defense was a bit shoddy, however we looked set for a long run as Barcelona, Real Madrid, Porto, Lyon, Palermo and Atletico Madrid were all knocked out and we had the easy task of facing [...]

vikingmarius > Woking: Steady going, winter 2018

Woking: Steady going, winter 2018

Hi and welcome to the winter edition of my 8th season with Woking as we progress in the champions league and still look towards grabbing out first Premier League title

Now although we had the January transfer window no buisness was done as is normal because I am pleased with the squad

The Premier League

Decent month where we do well against worse teams except for middelsborough, who seem to have the sectret ingredient to stop us, Tafer and Rafinha stay on top of the opposition.

Great month, but we again struggle against larger reputation teams, Gartside getting on the Tafer and Ranfinha form and scoring some two and I am very pleased with the middle of the month where we were 9-0 in 2 games. The worst part was at the beggining I didn’t think it was possible but we had to play two games in a row over 2 days and the second game was Manchester City.

Great month and that is all that needs to be said.

4th but still challenging so I am satisfied

The FA Cup

On course to win this again and an easy quarter-final next should be just a small hurdle

The Champions League

We cruised to first in the table and we meet Roma in the first knock-out round as Rafinha got us a good away result and I think we can finihs it of at home

The Squad

Only 6 players under 7.00 and I think Corchia who has now settled will be over the limit, I am thinking of getting a new keeper as Butland has been disappointing, and a new MR because Shaqiri isn’t Premier League winning level, also Gartside has been disappointing. But really pleased with my [...]

vikingmarius > Woking: Road to Champions league begin; sep-nov 2018

Woking: Road to Champions league begin; sep-nov 2018

Hello and welcome back to a short update on my Woking story as we continue our quest to get our first premier league title and our first trip into Europe as we look to complete the epic quest from Blue Square South to winning the premier league and champions league.

The Premier League

3 easy wins and a respectable draw and Rafinha hit his stride in the Ipswich game turning his first goal into a fabulous hat-trick, Hofler also got his first goal against Liverpool

Another respectable draw against a tough Arsenal side and then we went on to destroy Birmingham where the Tafer-Rafinha partnership seemed to work for the first time each grabbing 2 goals and Rafinha keeps building on his tally in a deserved win over Bolton.

A tougher month with a loss and a draw, but Rafinha stayed on form and we finished the month fantastically with a smashing win after another Tafer-Rafinha show

and the table

4th and still a chance fo grabbing the second place I want

The League Cup

Never seem to be able to get to anywhere respectable in this competition as we are dumped out again

The Champions League

We where amazing in woking’s first ever champions league game with a great 2 goal win at the San Siro followed by two disappointing home displays needing two oen goal in the last 10 minutes to beat a panathanaikos side we dominated, then we easily beat Panathanaikos away before we got a decent home draw against the holders and I am pleased with how we have done and with one game to go Woking have

this is due to our fantastic place in our group

We have done really well and I am very proud [...]
